ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Erasmus+ KA220-VET project INCLUDE was implemented by a transnational partnership from Romania, Italy, Spain, and Ireland in response to growing labour market challenges caused by social exclusion, skills mismatches, and the increased number of NEETs and refugees, including people displaced by the war in Ukraine. At the same time, employers in the service sector across partner countries faced persistent labour shortages and limited experience in inclusive recruitment.
The project aimed to ease access to employment for vulnerable people by acting simultaneously on three levels
Increasing
employers awareness and capacity to recruit and retain vulnerable workers
Strengthening
the organizational capacity of VET providers and NGOs to prepare and support vulnerable jobseekers
Improving
the adaptability, employability, and self-confidence of vulnerable participants through training, digital skills development, and work-based learning
Key activities included research on vulnerable groups, employer training and experience exchanges, staff training for VET providers, international and local workshops, practical stages in the service sector, IT training for NEETs and refugees, and the development of practical tools such as a Guide for Employers, a training course, and a brochure for vulnerable people. The project culminated in dissemination events and a final conference ensuring wide visibility and transferability.
As a result, INCLUDE delivered concrete, transferable solutions that strengthened cooperation between VET providers, NGOs, and employers, supported inclusive employment practices, and contributed to the social and economic integration of vulnerable people at local, national, and European levels.
